Key Responsibilities of Code 14 drivers jobs :
A Code 14 Driver is responsible for the safe transport of vehicle load management. I also perform complete daily inspections of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical problems immediately, loading and unloading various types of materials and equipment, and maintaining full compliance with the regulations of the RTA while prioritizing road safety for all users. One must adhere to the Health and Safety Act, road laws, and company procedural protocols for the post. This position requires effective mobility in Gauteng and assures overtime when operational conditions require it.
Required Qualifications and Experience
The applicant must complete a minimum of Grade 12, and A valid Code 14 Driver’s License (unendorsed) with a current Professional Driving Permit (PDP) is required. For this position, a minimum of three years of verifiable experience will be necessary for driving code 14 vehicles, with proven practical hands-on experience in the yard. Good manual handling ability and experience in safely reversing draw-bar trailers will be prerequisites. Experience operating Mounted Grab Cranes, skip loaders, and/or Roll-on Roll-off (RoRo) will be an advantage.
